WMC MIDI Keyboard Splitter FREE Environment for Logic Pro X

Essential MIDI environment tool for Logic Pro X 

Easily divide/split note ranges and other MIDI events from your master MIDI keyboard to several parts/zones to demix play software and/or hardware synths 


 Comes in four GUI versions: horizontal, vertical, horizontal slim, vertical slim

Description:

Splits MIDI note events of all channels in two parts/zones:

- Note events will be splitted in two Lower and Upper parts with selectable transposition and selectable output MIDI channels.

Free version limitation:
- All messages except note events are pass untouched. 



First time setting: (or use provided templates)

1. Copy Splitter from WMC Splitter project (from environment window>click & ports layer).

2. Paste Splitter to your project (to environment window>click & ports layer) and connect between Physical Input and Sequencer Input.


3. Select Splitter and move it to left-upper direction till it looks like:


- Check > Protect Cabling/Positions,

- Uncheck > Cables, 


- Check > Frameless Floating Window, 


- Adjust size and position to your needs.


4. Check >Logic >Project settings >Recording >Auto demix by channel if multitrack recording.


5. Under Main window>Inspector tab set different MIDI channel numbers for each instrument and record enable them.



6. Configure Splitter:

- Adjust keyboard split,

- Select output MIDI Channels.


Global Settings:

Splitter switch:
On - MIDI messages will proceed accordingly to global and part settings,
Off - MIDI messages passes untouched.


Part Settings:

Ch: Output MIDI channel.

Octave: Transposition by octave.

Low: Lower part splits MIDI keyboard from note C-2 to selected note value.

Up: Upper part splits MIDI keyboard from selected note value to note G8.

Split Fader: Selects border of Lower and Upper MIDI Keyboard split part.


Tips:

- Resize Splitter`s window to your needs, it will save some space.

- Use Splitter`s on/off switch, it is very useful to switch between whole and spitted/transposed keyboard when playing different instruments sets.

- To reduce MIDI latency use this settings and adjust I/O buffer size to 256 or smaller.

User Manual:




Description:

Splits MIDI events of selected input channel into two parts:

- Note events will be splitted in two Lower and Upper parts with selectable transposition and selectable output MIDI channels.

- Other MIDI messages will be selectable filtered, assigned or duplicated to selectable output part MIDI channel. (If you set same function buttons to same "on" value, in upper and lower parts, the MIDI events will be duplicated and processed with selected output channels).




First time setting: (or use provided templates)

1. Copy vertical or horizontal version of Splitter from WMC Splitter project (from environment window>click & ports layer).

2. Paste Splitter to your project (to environment window>click & ports layer) and connect between Physical Input and Sequencer Input.


3. Register Splitter with
license key.


4. Select Splitter and move it to left-upper direction till it looks like:


- Check > Protect Cabling/Positions,

- Uncheck > Cables,


- Check > Frameless Floating Window,


- Adjust size and position to your needs.

Global Settings:

Splitter switch:
On - MIDI messages will proceed accordingly to global and part settings,
Off - MIDI messages passes untouched.

InputCh: Input Channel - sets physical channel to process:
MIDI messages of selected channel will be processed: Note, Control, Pitch bend, Aftertouch/Channel Pressure, Poly Pressure, Program change.

OtherCh: Other MIDI channels (except selected InputCh):
On- other MIDI channels passes untouched,
Off - other MIDI channels not passes.

SysEx:
On - passes untouched,
Off - not passes.

Monitors: Monitors of incoming and out coming MIDI events.


Part Settings:

Ch: Output MIDI channel. 

Octave: Transposition by octave.


Low: Lower part splits MIDI keyboard from note C-2 to selected note value.

Up: Upper part splits MIDI keyboard from selected note value to note G8.

Split Fader: Selects border of Lower and Upper MIDI Keyboard split part.

PB: Pitch Bend.

M: Modulation Wheel / C1.

7: Volume / C7.

11: Expression Pedal / C11.

64: Sustain Pedal / C64.

AT: Aftertouch / Channel Pressure.

Vel: Note velocity sensitivity scale.

OtherCC: All Control messages other than PB, M, 7,11,64,AT:
On - passes untouched with applied part channel number,
Off - not passes.

Program change:
On - passes untouched with applied part channel number,
Off - not passes.

Polly Pressure:
On - passes untouched with applied part channel number,
Off - not passes.

InvM: Inverts Modulation Wheel / C1 value. 

Inv11: Inverts Expression Pedal / C11 value.


Inv64: Inverts Sustain Pedal / C64 value.


Registration:

Register:
1 - Input 6 digits license key using click 'n' scroll,
2 - Press Reg button,
3 - If serial license key accepted you get "registered" info message.

Reset registration to trial:
1 - Press UnReg button.

Before you are going to share, give, trade or distribute, logic project included WCM products, please unregister all WCM products, i.e. press UnReg button.

Trial limitation: 
Notes messages and/or Control messages are limited to 100 MIDI events (note-on: 1-127 values, control: 0 and 127values), quantity left of MIDI events are displayed at status bar
After trial ends, all MIDI events will pass untouched.


Tips:

- Resize Splitter`s window to your needs, it will save some space.
